Friends of Tamborine National Park (formerly Tamborine Bush Volunteers) are a group of volunteers for Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Whilst not a member group within Tamborine Mountain Natural History Association Inc, it is proud to support their work for our local native biodiversity.
(originally known as Kath Dobbie’s as the land was donated by Miss Kathryn Dobbie in 1988)
First worked in this area in 1995 (lower plot 2002)

Cleared lantana, privet, tobacco bush, climbing asparagus, privet, ochna, kikuyu grass, bana grass and exotic ginger from the first project area. This area also had a significant amount of farm rubbish as it was originally a flower farm. Replanted the area and carried out ongoing maintenance and weed control.

Built a post and wire fence with the adjoining property and hung a farm gate (July 1999).

Cleared lantana, privet, tobacco bush, climbing asparagus, privet and exotic ginger from the second project area. This area also had a significant amount of avocado tree prunings from an adjoining property. Replanted the area and carried out ongoing maintenance and weed control.
